Celebrating Youth Leadership in Agriculture!
Happy International Youth Day 2026 to every young Nigerian breaking ground, innovating across value chains, and building wealth through agriculture!
This year’s global theme “Different Contexts, Common Aspirations” shines a spotlight on a vital truth: whether you are a tech savvy graduate in Abuja or a hardworking farmer in a rural LGA, our common aspiration is economic independence, food security, and commercial success.
This celebration coincides with major policy momentum in Abuja, where the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (FMAFS) and the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA) renewed their commitment to climate-resilient agriculture. During the convening, Minister Sen. Abubakar Kyari emphasized that youth and women must be recognized as drivers of commercial innovation and wealth creation, not mere beneficiaries.
At Npower Farmers Cooperative Society, we agree completely. Agriculture is no longer about backbreaking hoe-and-cutlass labor it is a high yield, digitalized business ecosystem.
Three Ways Npower Farmers Empowers Youth Agripreneurs
Through our official digital portal at npowerfarmers.ng, we give young Nigerians the leverage needed to turn agricultural ideas into profitable enterprises:
1. Access to Single-Digit BOA Loans & Digital E-Wallets
Securing capital individually can be tough for young entrepreneurs. As an accredited cooperative, Npower Farmers connects verified member clusters directly to Bank of Agriculture (BOA) production credit, single digit interest loans, and mobile input allocations (fertilizers, high-yield seeds, and crop protection).
2. Mechanization & Tech-Driven Farming
We bring modern machinery within reach. Through cooperative pooling, young farmers gain access to subsidized tractor land preparation, drone mapping, and solar powered irrigation systems without needing heavy initial capital investment.
3. Off-Taker Markets and Processing Value Chains
Farming is only profitable when harvest meets guaranteed buyers. We connect our youth clusters directly with commercial food processors, supermarket networks, and commodity exporters, eliminating exploitative middlemen.
